Tatars and Bashkirs of Primorsky region are keeping their traditions alive

One of the streets of Vladivostok may get a new name. Gilfan Batirshin a hero of the Soviet Union has become a symbol of pride for its people. Basing on such examples, young Tatars and Bashkirs of Primorsky region are being raised.

Tatars and Bashkirs are handing down their traditions from generation to generation. The hospitality is in their blood. Traditional treats are on the table: pies, sweets – everything is made according to old-time recipes, which have been gotten from grandparents.

Tartars do not forget to honor and remember their heroes. Diaspora made a proposal to name one of the streets of Vladivostok in the name of their illustrious countryman. Major Gilfin Batirshin, was a participant of the Khasan Lake battle and the Great Patriotic War. This idea is already supported by border guards and veterans' public organizations. Now it is being considered by the Vladivostok Administration.

Representatives of the diaspora are involved in many city and regional events, always solve the problems together. Often receive help from the local administration.

Even living on the territory of Primorsky region Tatars do not forget about the main thing - to be welcoming and hospitable no matter what.
