Japanese cranes were spotted in Primorye earlier than usual

The residents pf Khasansky district spotted the first Japanese cranes in the region. Around 30 cranes were counted near Khasan. 

Japanese and Daursky cranes are one of the rarest endangered crane species. Each species has around 200 crane units. 

Toumangan river is an important resting place for these South-Eastern birds. More than 370 species are spotted there every year. 32 of them are endangered ones. Ornithologist mention that this year, the crane came to the region very early. The mass migration unusually starts in the second half of March.
