More than 900 crab and shrimp traps were found in Primorye in 2019. The poachers are facing very high fines and criminal liability. 

According to the government of Primorye, last year, border guards together with the Primorye’s branch of Russia’s fishery agency stop poachers with almost 169 tons of seafood. All of the alive units were taken back to their natural habitat: more than 39 thousand of crabs, almost 4 thousand of salmon, 19,3 thousand of trepangs and about 6,6 thousand of scallops.
