Around one hundred years ago people living in Krasni Yar’s areas could speak seven different dialects of Udege language. Every dialect had some differences but all of the people could easily understand each other.
School program does not have Udege in its curriculum yet. Children are gathering in classrooms to communicate in their ancestors language.
The Udege language still has a chance to survive. If it doesn’t happen, the whole national culture will disappear.
