On the «Land of the leopard» National Park’s south part photo traps pictured a water deer. This species is noticed for the first time in Russia. This deer usually lives near the river that connects China, North Korea and Russia. In the analysed lists of Russia’s and USSR’s fauna, this species was never mentioned starting from Przevalsky expeditions. So, the water deer can be considered a new fauna species in Russia. Now the list of animals of Russia will count 327 species instead of 326.
