Two Far-Eastern cranes are coming back to the wild after rehabilitation. The nestlings were injured after falling down from a tree. They were taken in by the «Tiger» rehabilitation centre. There they learned how to fly, eat and now they are ready to join their flock.
The baby birds are only 3 months old, but their beaks are already sharp. After being caught, the nestlings are being weighed. The ecologists install a GPS onto their legs, so they can track them for the next five years.
This couple got into the centre a month ago. The tree, where their nest was situated, fell down. As the nestlings could not fly yet, they were walking around in the forest until the locals noticed them and brought to the centre.
And now, when the cranes know how to do everything, they need to join a flock.
