Yupiter, a sea-calf cub born in Primorye’s oceanarium, started his intense trainings. Yupiter is the first ever sea-calf that was conceived and born in an artificial environment.
Yupiter participates in trainings with adult sea-calfs despite his «tender age». Moreover, he is the first one to enter the training. Since childhood is the perfect for learning new skills, Yupiter absorbs everything he is being taught. He knows his name, different orders like «come here». He is not scared of people and vets.
Trainings are also related to the cub’s physical well-being.
Yupiter is 4,5 months old. He weighs 36 kgs and gains 150-200 grams daily. His ration includes shrimps, squid, salmon and herring.
