This exhibition is a continuation of the project of the regional art gallery "Elegant classics". In the year Of the theater, Vladivostok photographers had a unique opportunity - to arrange a photo shoot of ballet dancers right in the main building of the gallery. Among the masterpieces in gilded frames, in the empty halls before the change of exposure – moments of inspiration and concentration. Sergei Umanets, the Prime Minister of the Mariinsky theatre, literally overcomes the force of gravity.

In dealing with the artists the authors of the images is learned – every ballet position, each figure has its own value. And in the photos we tried to convey not only the technique, but also the poetry of dance. Next to the famous marble Cleopatra or against the background of ancient heroes of the Renaissance, their models became the real embodiment of eternal beauty.

Ballet inspired not only artists, photographers, but also sculptors.
