The authorities of Primorye and the Russian Federation intend to build a recreational infrastructure there in parallel with the technological development of the territory of the Russian island in Vladivostok. This was announced on Wednesday at a press conference in TASS Deputy Prime Minister, Plenipotentiary representative of the President in the far Eastern Federal district Yuri Trutnev.

"We talked with Oleg Nikolaevich [Kozhemyako, Governor of Primorye], now we will develop the core on the basis of the far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). Next, there will be the construction of a number of cultural institutions, on behalf of the President, a choreographic school will be built there, we will help to build competence centers. And the following that Oleg Nikolaevich offers, and I, frankly speaking, support, we will build recreational infrastructure. That is, we will build hotels, Spa on the shore for people's rest," Trutnev said.

According to him, if the Russian island will be good conditions for life and recreation, the chances to attract people who want to engage in technology will be much greater.

Now, within the framework of the approved by the government of the Russian Federation concept of development of the Russian island on the basis of FEFU, a Technopark has been created. At the first stage, the innovation ecosystem is formed at the University, then it is supposed to spread to the territory of the island. Technopark "Russian" is a joint project of FEFU, SKOLKOVO Foundation and more than 25 partner organizations.

Congress and exhibition center

In addition, the Russian island will be a Convention and exhibition center, design and estimate documentation for which, according to Trutnev, will develop before the end of this year.

"I have already talked about the construction of a Technopark on Russky island, and in addition, we will build a Russian Convention and exhibition center on The island. I think that this year we will complete the development of design and estimate documentation, and I hope that we will start this construction next year. It will round the existing site, which we hope to take the exhibition, the exposition of the next world," he said.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the creation of the center and Technopark will bring the Eastern economic forum to a new level.

"The Eastern economic forum should become not only a platform where it will be told about what is happening in the far East. Of course, it is necessary, for this we invite guests. We would like it to be a platform where you can share experiences, where you can create joint projects," Trutnev added.
