In the gallery of modern art "Arch" opened an exhibition of Alexander Arsenenko. An active participant in the vernissages of the Union of artists, he is also known as a stage designer of performances of the youth Theater and the author of original prizes for the TV festival "Man and the sea". What does he surprise the audience with this time?
Alexander Arsenenko will decorate any exhibition with a bright memorable picture or just his presence among the public. A gentleman with a military pedigree-while his father served in the GDR, the son went to the Dresden gallery. Growing up, he jumped with a parachute and graduated from school as a theater artist. Great nature for a self-portrait.
Vladimir Starovoitov, artist: "in my opinion, he is a draftsman, first of all, a graphic artist. Of course he's a theatregoer. All this can be seen, his entire game is this, theatrical skits, which he on-to the treats. He has such a sharp drawing."
Arsenenko's style is recognized both in painting and in graphics. The favorite characters are angels: frivolous, like a child, on the shoulder of a beauty or serious, like a doctor supporting a winged brother. "Pictures of private life" — has called the author of the 25 sheets. That is a black and white drawing I wanted to show it at its first exhibition in the gallery "ARKA".
Vera Glazkova, Director of the gallery "ARKA": "He wrote it at the end of the XX century, and the last work is dated 2018. But the most interesting thing is that we suddenly coincided with the year of the theater. We know that Alexander Arsenenko is a theatre artist."
The exposition opens Shakespeare's King Lear-in memory of the production on Sakhalin. The work of Arsenenko for seaside theatres — youth, Navy — we'll see in March in a separate exhibition. In the meantime - his recognition of his role as an artist: to give joy to people, to carry crystal flowers…
Alexander Arsenenko, a member of the Union of artists of Russia: "Why are they crystal — because they can be hurt. Every artist constantly stumbles in his work on these sharp corners. That's why this man carries this bouquet to people. But leaves behind a bloody trail."
The thorny path of the artist-in everyday life to look for a holiday and try to kindle a fire in the souls, as on a picnic in the rain. Alexander Arsenenko hopes that his" personal pictures " — real or fantastic — will cause a return spark in the viewer.
